Dragon Warrior III NES Jipang

This video is a walkthrough of the town of Jipang in Dragon Quest III on the NES. Jipang is the counterpart to the country of Japan in the real world. The town features it's own unique soundtrack and is being terrorized by a mythical dragon. All of this coordinates with the mythology of Japan. A recurring theme in Dragon Quest games is having a location where someone (usually young girls) are being given as offerings to some cruel beasts. Himiko actually has the Purple Orb, but it cannot be received until you visit the cave nearby Jipang and fight the Orochi. The Orochi is easily one of the most famous monsters from Dragon Quest III. In the final portion of this video, the New Town is visited to see its progress. Since the Green Orb has been collected from Tedanki, the town has advanced into phase 2.
