Fable 2, Xbox Series X: 4K Auto-HDR. Fable 2 is an excellent, old-school adventure RPG with a "feel-good" feel and lots of humor and charm. Over the years it's attained an almost mythical status, in part because it is one of the few major titles of the last 20 years never to be ported to PC. It was also never released for Playstation 3. Most gamers have heard of it, heard whispers of it--but, unless they owned an Xbox 360, have not actually played it. The Xbox Series X breaths new life into this much revered cult-classic, fantasy RPG. By unlocking all the performance contained within the original game (the Xbox 360 left a lot of performance on the table), running the best possible version, in 4K, with HDR color and lighting; Fable 2 on the Series X far exceeds how the game looked and performed on original hardware. This is not a remaster, it is the original game. But it looks so good, it almost could be. Fable 2 runs in backwards compatibility mode on the Xbox One, One X and Series S and X consoles. But the game received Xbox One X Enhancements in 2018 for the One X console. Among the enhancements, resolution was bumped to 4K,16x anisotropic filtering implemented and draw distance increased.
