Governor Abdi Ibrahim has promised to put in place policies and strategies that will attract major investments that will spur economic growth and he will also work closely and strategically with the National Government to ensure peace and security prevails. Abdi highlighted on the Robust natural resources mapping as a measure of poverty alleviation and Reviving of past irrigation schemes to achieve food security in the county and financial inclusion for vulnerable groups (Women and Youth) through deliberate funding achieved by policy and legal framework formulation. Regarding the Isiolo-Modogashe Road construction project, and compensation for the local community members, Governor Guyo said that he will soon constitute a taskforce that will listen to grievances and seek solutions after a sitting with the National Land Commission. Project will only take place when the local community members are satisfied after their issues are adequately addressed.
