In an era of unprecedented changes, every corner seeks its unique narrative. As globalization deepens, every voice holds limitless potential. How can communication foster global sustainable development? Professor Zhou Qing'an, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Tsinghua University, begins by discussing the 70-year journey that led to the Taklamakan Desert being completely encircled by a sand-blocking green belt. This long and arduous process is condensed into a 30-second short video, showcasing the remarkable transformation from desert to lush green fields. In the era of new media, as the power of voice increasingly shifts to broader participants, nations, institutions, and individuals can all provide narratives, construct scenarios, and outline predictions, collectively engaging in sustainable communication for the future. Zhou Qing'an, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor.
