This video provides an in-depth introduction to the Automotive Cybersecurity Lab [A.C.L] and its mission to drive innovation and collaboration in the field of automotive cybersecurity. We begin by exploring the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures in today's connected vehicle landscape. We delve into the definition of automotive cybersecurity, drawing on insights from authoritative sources like ISO, NIST and NHTSA. We then examine real-world examples of automotive cybersecurity incidents to illustrate the potential consequences of cyberattacks. The video outlines the scope of cybersecurity in the automotive industry, covering key areas such as vehicle systems, connectivity, data privacy, supply chain security, and organizational security. We then introduce the [A.C.L] and its core objectives: research and development, education and training, industry engagement, and community building. We discuss how the [A.C.L] aims to connect and empower various stakeholders within the automotive ecosystem, including engineers, researchers, and industry professionals. Finally, we present a roadmap for achieving our goals, highlighting key areas of focus and outlining our plans for future activities.
