In my mission to always look for quality build sets other than Lego, the Mattel Brick Shop line stands out. This Mercedes-Benz 300 SL set is part of the Premium line. This car is truly Iconic and was introduced to the public in 1954. It was marketed as a passenger car and a racer. The set has great features including opening gull wing doors, opening hood and trunk with prop rods, a spare tire that fits in the trunk, metal rearview mirror and outside mirror, two sets of metal wheels, Mercedes emblem is metal, full steering system from the steering wheel, integrated front and rear windows metallic look bumpers and exhaust and a metal nameplate that fits under the car or can be a keychain. The interior is very highly detailed with large plaid seats and floor shifter with shift pattern on the knob. Best of all the set comes with a Hot Wheels 1/64th scale replica of the set you are building. The set is 1/12th scale. It measures 14.5 in x 4.1 tall. This is truly a great build with fantastic detail. The set is age rated for 17 plus, has 1600 pcs and costs 129.99. The set number is HWW25. A truly great car to display.
