SAP HANA Deployment Infrastructure (HDI) Administration

SAP HANA Deployment Infrastructure, or HDI, security administration can feel a bit overwhelming at first. It is a powerful multi-layer approach to security that large scale implementations often required. However when you have a single container that you just want to expose to a reporting DB user, it can feel like a lot to learn. In this video we will try and demystify the HDI administration and security setup. We will walk through the process to create an HDI administrator, HDI Group administrator, and HDI container administrator. We will also see how to grant access to our container to a regular DB reporting user. Everything we do in this video will be done on the HANA Cloud trial, but the concepts can be applied to any HANA system where HDI is utilized.
