NOTE: This video was filmed in 2017--way before the global pandemic! Here's our travel day from Kolkata, India to Colombo, Sri Lanka! Pretty simple video with some nice final views of Kolkata from the car to the airport from the Gateway Hotel EM Bypass. Trying to spend the last of our rupees was a challenge when an airport gift shop couldn’t sell us a copper ring without its tiny wrapper. They needed the bar code on the wrapper and wouldn’t sell it to me without that bar code, even when I offered to overpay in cash. 3 employees and I scoured the whole gift shop to look for the ring wrapper—while my flight was boarding! Upon arrival in Columbo I learned that SriLankan Airlines had dropped my suitcase in a puddle of grease. Watch me try to wipe it off with a comically small napkin!
