I just discovered this honey-glazed garlic chicken, and the sauce is absolutely heavenly 🍯🧄✨ It’s the perfect mix of sweet and savoury, and a total crowd-pleaser. Whether you’re cooking for picky kids or hungry adults, this dish is bound to be a hit at the table. Bonus: it’s so good, you might just find yourself licking the plate 😆 Ingredients (serves 4 pax) Sauce 1. 6 garlic cloves minced 2. 4 tbsp of honey (you may substitute this with brown sugar or maple syrup) 3. 3 tbsp of chicken stock 4. 1 tbsp of black rice vinegar (white vinegar or apple cider works as well) 5. 1 tbsp of light soya sauce 6. 2 tsp of sesame oil 7. 1 tsp of corn starch (tapioca or potato starch works as well) Chicken 1. 4 skin-on boneless chicken thigh 2. Neutral oil 3. Salt and pepper to taste Other ingredients 1. Spring onion chopped (separate the whites from the greens) 2. 1 shallot minced Instructions 1. Pat dry both sides of the chicken thighs with a paper towel 2. Season both sides with salt and black pepper 3. Combine garlic with the sauce and give everything a good stir 4. Blanch vegetables of choice (add a pinch of salt and baking powder into the boiling water, before adding in the vegetables). After 1 minute, dish out and set aside. 5. Heat neutral oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and add the whites of the spring onion and shallots. Stir fry for about 1 minute or until fragrant. Push them to the sides of the pan and add in the chicken skin side down. Fry until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Flip the chicken over and fry for about 2 minutes. 6. Reduce heat to low and pour in the honey garlic sauce around the sauce. Allow the sauce to thicken. Flip the chicken skin side down for about 15 seconds so that the skin can absorb the sauce. Flip over again. 7. Turn the heat off and garnish with the greens of the spring onion. 8. Transfer cooked chicken onto a cutting board, slice and serve with rice or noodles. Enjoy!
