A disgraceful day for the Indian community in Jeddah - Part 1

Saturday, 3rd Nov 2018 is a disgraceful day for the Indian community in Jeddah. Most of the Saudi Indian community is well aware of the issues in Indian International School Jeddah aka IISJED ( popularly known as Embassy School ). All IISJED parents are praying for the bright future of this prestigious school which is a real pride for the Indian community. As a normal procedure today the parents were called upon by the school management for the PTM ( Parent teachers Meeting ) on 1st November 2018 but later rescheduled to Saturday, 3rd November. We were thinking the management did this due to the bad weather, after attending the meeting its very clear that somebody is orchestrating all the things happening in IISJED. The meeting was chaired by Shahid Alam from Indian Embassy, Principal in charge Najeeb and Hifzur Rahman and another person (maybe from observer committee ). First Shaid Alam started the speech giving some introduction to the Boys section issue and later continued by Hifzur Rahman, He told to the parents they are meeting the parents as per the instruction of our Ambassador. They bring a lot of issues related to the public which was never told to the public. For the past few years, we are hearing a lot of messages about the school. Lots of roomers among the Indian community about the cold war between the Indian Embassy, School Management, Management Committee. Many people still believing a lot of finical mismanagement and frauds are happening in the school, transportation, uniform and few minor things (this was brought in the meeting by some parents). But today Hifzul Rahman revealed many mistakes and wrongdoing done by the School Management and Executive committee to the public which lease to big financial loss. All the time the Embassy people were trying to emphasize that they are not involved in the school matters and they are less informed about the school situation by the School Management and by the Management Committee (MC). The way the meeting was arranged and the way it was informed to the parents, we cannot fully trust and the intention of the Embassy ( It’s a very clear blame game ) Hifzul Rahman said - the Management never involved in the Court hearing as they just throw the matter to the appointed layer. The lawyer was working against the School’s will ( supporting the opposition party), and the School management and MC never look into the matter. He said the school management decided to get three new building without considering the advice of the Embassy, they spend around 14 lakh Saudi Riyal for buildings which don’t have the civil defense or municipality clearance and they were forced to drop the plan resulting in a huge financial burden. We can feel there is a hurry from the observer committee to wash their hand and put all the blame on the MC and School management ( Even though they are attending a quarterly meeting with the school management and they are saying that they have no idea about the issues ) , Also blaming parents and trying to put the responsibility on the parents. From many issues like “Vote”, we know the expats are neglected by our own government, by this blame game drama we don’t know what will be the future of our kids
