As a reminder--I am not a fire safety expert or electrician and following what I show in this video does not mean that your printer is safe. You are responsible for reviewing your printer for potential safety issues and accounting for any potential failure modes. Today I have a quick video going over a redundant power cutoff setup I'm working on for my 3D printers! This is a "last line of defense" in addition to your printer firmware safety guards and any other safety measures you may have (such as cutting power to your printer if your firmware detects a fault). The intention with this device is to make sure that if an electrical fire occurs and other safety measures you have in place malfunction, power will get automatically cut off to prevent feeding the fire with additional energy.
