𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐃 𝐒𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭 - 𝟖𝒕𝒉 𝑭𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒚 '𝟐𝟔 In this week’s issue, we head to the Malacca Johore Diocese, which recently held its second and concluding session of the 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐀𝐉𝐎𝐃𝐈 from January 20–21, 2026. More than 50 clergy, religious, and lay leaders also gathered at the Church of St Louis in Kluang, Johor for the 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲, marking the formal establishment of MJD’s first Diocesan Pastoral Council following the formation of Vicariate Pastoral Councils across Malacca Johore Diocese. Meanwhile, 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒄 𝑬𝒄𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 (BECs) in the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur will begin practicing Conversation in the Spirit during their monthly reflections starting February. A special training session prepared 37 BEC leaders to guide faith-filled dialogue, responding to the Synodal Church’s call to discern God’s will through prayerful listening to the Holy Spirit.
