We spent part of November wandering through Göreme and Uçhisar, hiking the dreamy Rose and Pigeon Valleys, exploring cave homes carved into fairy chimneys, and taking the most unforgettable hot air balloon ride of our lives. (Yes, it’s 100% as magical as it looks!) We also checked out the Göreme Open Air Museum, ventured deep into Derinkuyu—the underground city that feels like an ancient maze—and warmed up with delicious Turkish food and plenty of hot wine. 🍷✨ Cappadocia was a little pricier than we expected for our early-retired, budget-minded lifestyle, but honestly… totally worth every lira.
