Christopher Renstrom explains why a quincunx is an awkward, “ill-fitting” aspect that’s not a traditional major aspect, using Aries in relation to Virgo and Scorpio to show how quincunx signs share neither mode, element, nor yin/yang, and how the aspect blends trine attraction with oppositional friction in a repeating loop that resists resolution. He argues quincunxes aren’t bad, but they don’t provide closure; instead they function as a “work in progress” that can drive creativity, improvisation, ingenuity, and inventiveness, often seen in charts of artists, athletes, and sometimes scientists. He also defines the semi-sextile as a 30° “blind spot” aspect between conjunction and sextile, notes that two quincunxes form a yod, and invites viewers to his ISAR Master Series workshop on March 21, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET, encouraging participants to bring charts and questions. 00:00 ISAR - Quincunxes 00:03 Question 1: What Are Quincunxes 05:10 Question 2: Are Quincunxes Bad? 08:08 Question 3: What's the Difference Between Quincuxes & Semi-Sextiles 🌐 Check out our brand new website: isarastrology.com 📖 Register for this Webinar: isarastrology.com/quinc 📅 Sign up for the upcoming Star Clubs: isarastrology.com/calendar #christopherrenstrom #astrology #ISAR
