Hey guys, new game here.. DOOM The Dark Ages and covering Chapter 1, and honestly… I can’t believe I’m just now playing this. This game is pure fun. The atmosphere, the combat, and the overall vibe immediately pulled me in. It gives off strong old-school DOOM energy, and I love that it doesn’t try to be like every modern game out there. One thing I really appreciate is how health works here. Unlike modern games where you can take damage and just wait for your health to regenerate, DOOM The Dark Ages makes you earn it. Just like the classic games, you actually have to find health pickups to survive, which keeps the combat intense and forces you to stay aggressive. Another thing that surprised me was the collectibles, especially the little toys you can find throughout the game. They instantly reminded me of growing up and opening cereal boxes, hoping there’d be a toy inside. That nostalgic touch hit way harder than I expected.
