Published in 1912, "Moonlight Bay" was composed by Percy Wenrich with lyrics by Edward Madden. In 1915, "Moonlight Bay" gained prominence when it was featured in the musical revue, "Ziegfeld Follies." There was also a 1951 musical film called, "On Moonlight Bay," starring Doris Day and Gordon MacRae that featured this little ditty. "Moonlight Bay" has been covered by various artists, including Glenn Miller and his Orchestra, Bing and Gary Crosby, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and even Daffy Duck.
