Man Spent 2 YEARS Building MINI HOGWARTS and the Stairs ACTUALLY MOVE ! (By @WanliParkDIY ) ----------------------------------------------- Hello TTI Family! Today’s video takes us straight into the wizarding world—no acceptance letter required. What we’re watching isn’t just a DIY project; it’s a masterclass in patience, creativity, and a little bit of real-world magic. A devoted Harry Potter fan from China spent nearly *two years* building an incredibly detailed miniature version of Hogwarts Castle, proving that imagination plus hard work can rival any spell. Instead of easing into the project, the builder jumped headfirst into one of Hogwarts’ most infamous features: the moving staircases. Because of course he did. The build began with a laser-cut plywood base that acts as the castle’s hidden backbone, keeping everything rigid and aligned once motors and gears entered the picture. Without this structure, the stairs might’ve moved—but probably straight into chaos. The staircase alone took about six months to complete. Early attempts using 3D printing were abandoned after gravity and fragile plastic teamed up against the idea. The solution came in the form of custom laser-cut linden wood, digitally modeled in advance so every moving part could be planned before assembly. Behind the scenes, a carefully designed electrical system powers both the motion and interior lighting, converting household electricity into safe, low-voltage power. No dark magic involved—just smart engineering. Once the stair hall was complete, the rest of the castle followed. Gothic-style windows with pointed arches and faux stained glass brought the interior to life, while hinged wooden panels allowed access for maintenance, because even magical buildings need repairs. Animated portrait frames were recreated with laser-cut wood and metallic finishes, hiding the control systems behind familiar Hogwarts charm. The castle itself rose from a carved foam landscape designed to look like natural rock. Wooden panels formed towers, walls, and roofs, assembled in modular sections inspired by medieval architecture. Hand-cut wooden shingles covered the rooftops, adding texture and realism one tiny tile at a time. Surface detailing became the soul of the build. Stone patterns were carved into foam and wood, softened with acrylic paste, and aged with layers of earthy washes. Moss, shrubs, and miniature trees were added to blend the castle into its surroundings, making it feel ancient and alive. What started as a moving staircase became a full miniature Hogwarts—equal parts tribute and original artwork. With glowing windows, weathered stone, and stubborn dedication behind every detail, this tiny castle proves that patience is the most powerful spell of all. 🪄 ------------------------------------------------------- Wanli Park DIY Youtube: / @wanliparkdiy Bilibili: https://space.bilibili.com/182580556/...
