Here's what I did to RESTART my GODOX AD600

My GODOX AD600 battery died while I had it in my storage case. I haven't used it in almost a year. Supposedly, if you don't use your godox ad600 for awhile, the battery goes into hibernation mode. Here I will show you how to get it restarted again. I'm no electrician but I can show you what I did. It worked. If your Godox AD600 is not turning on, here are the most common causes and troubleshooting steps you can take: 🔋 1. Battery Issues Check Battery Charge: The AD600 will not power on if the battery is fully drained. Try charging the battery for at least 30–60 minutes, even if the indicator doesn't light up immediately. Test with Another Battery: If available, use a different Godox AD600 battery (WB87) to rule out a battery fault. 🔌 2. Battery Contact Problems Inspect Contacts: Make sure the battery terminals (both on the battery and the flash unit) are clean and free of debris or corrosion. Re-seat the Battery: Remove and re-insert the battery firmly. Sometimes the contacts don’t connect properly unless fully clicked into place. 💡 3. Power Button Delay The AD600 often requires holding the power button for 2–3 seconds before it turns on. A quick press might not activate it. ⚠️ 4. Firmware or Internal Failure If everything seems fine with the battery and contacts but the unit still won't power on, the internal circuitry (like the power board) may be damaged. Look for any signs of burning, smell, or heat from the unit. 🧪 5. Test with External AC Adapter (if available) If you have the AC26 AC adapter for the AD600, try powering it with that instead of the battery. If it works, the issue is definitely battery-related. 🛠️ 6. Reset / Service Option If none of the above works: Try a hard reset (remove the battery, wait a few minutes, then reinsert and power on).
