My usual go-to setup has been the TourBox Elite with the Shuttle Pro V2, which has served me very well. But on the flip side, if you’re locked into the Apple ecosystem and have an iPad, I’d recommend the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor since it’s the only device that’s actually compatible with it. Each creative console or macro pad above requires third-party software for it to work correctly. Now, I’ll be the first to say I’m not crazy about the Shuttle Pro V2 software, but it gets the job done. With my Surface Pro 11, I’m grabbing the MX Creative Console because it’s small, portable, and just an all-around cool tool. Can we take a moment to acknowledge that we can’t even use this tool on the iPad Pro M4, yet we can on the Surface? Insane. I wasn’t a fan of the Loupedeck+, but today, if I were going to buy a Loupedeck, I’d consider the Loupedeck Live since it gives you a customizable macro pad. When I’m at home, I’m using the Speed Editor and TourBox Elite. Together, they make one powerful combo, especially when you have the space for it and aren’t at a café with those small round tables. If I could only grab one item, it’s a no-brainer for me: I’m grabbing the MX Creative Console because it comes with a knob. Everything else requires you to buy a separate knob. And while you could argue that the Stream Deck is a better macro pad, and you’d be correct, nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the combo that the Logitech MX Creative Console offers.
