I'm checking out one of the songs from Crazy Ex Girlfriend called "Antidepressants Are So Not a Big Deal" and I LOVED IT. It's beautifully camp and incredibly accurate. I just wish I had rhythm then maybe I could take some pointers for my consultations. I've lost count of how many people have asked me to watch Crazy Ex Girlfriend and I thought this was a good starting point, but I'm hoping to check out some full episodes soon. The thing I loved most about this song was calling our pill shaming which is unfortunately all too common. Antidepressants are safe and effective, and for some, life saving. Nobody should feel shamed for using medications as a tool to treat mental illness, anymore than taking an ACE inhibitor for high blood pressure. I hope you liked it and I hope you learned something. Let me know if you've had experiences of people pill shaming because I want to understand why people do it more so we can tackle what is just harmful nonsense.
