It’s been a ride — highs and lows — but one thing’s for sure: I could not beat the Elite Four for the life of me. At first, I didn’t want to use any outside help. I wanted to figure it out on my own. But since this was my first YouTube playthrough and I wanted to keep the videos consistent, I finally turned to another creator for guidance. The team and strategy I used to beat the Elite Four came from YouTuber Judas Thunderseteel. The link to the original video is below. I used his Dark-type team, which was recommended to me on the Radical Red Discord. Funny enough, I didn’t realize he had multiple team options until after I beat the Elite Four. I still plan to beat them with my own team eventually & post it in my spare time. This was also my first ever hardcore Pokémon game. It was definitely a challenge — not what I expected at all. To be honest, it’s not so much “hard” as it is unbalanced. They strip a lot of tools from you while giving everything to your opponents. It’s like stepping into a boxing match where your opponent gets brass knuckles. Still, I wanted to get through it — and I did. None of the Radical Red videos featured my voice, but that’s changing soon. My future Pokémon playthroughs will be full Let’s Plays with commentary, not just Gym battles. Maybe I’ll try Nuzlockes or Monotypes down the line — maybe not. We’ll see. Thank you to everyone who watched and supported this series.
