Caving Gear & Poo-Covered Suits! 💩 Newlyn Swarm Rescue with a View! 🏰 Newlyn colony collection April 2025 Just an average morning in Newlyn! Today I’m tackling a swarm that decided to make a permanent home in a house soffit. This wasn’t your standard garden-variety collection—I had to break out the triple extension ladder and my caving harness just to stay safe at that height! 🧗‍♂️ It’s a bit of a messy one—the bees seem to have a touch of an upset stomach (likely just some early-season dysentery), and you can see that mustard-coloured gunk absolutely everywhere. I ended up more covered in it than the house was! 🍯💩 The Scared Client, Bless him, he was terrified of bees but still insisted on 'footing' the ladder for me. Brave soul... though he did pay the price with two stings for his trouble! 🚑🐝 Despite the mess, this is a lovely, gentle colony.
