"The Shield" Hand Drawn 2D Animation Process Breakdown

Some animation process of my Hand Drawn Rough 2D Animation shot "The Shield." Some people were asking for roughs of this shot to see the process a bit, and here is what I was able to dig up. There is some live action reference that I filmed first, followed by the first rough version in which everything having been mostly worked out (after many revisions). After that I realized tying down from that version would be pretty difficult so I wanted to have something closer to the final model while I fleshed out the cape/punches more. After that is the final tie down. There is a lot I would like to change if I could go back and do it again, but I learned a lot on this shot as it was pretty challenging, but a lot of fun all the same. Also the timing charts were more notes for myself and I wouldn't recommend using them to learn from as things changed timing wise and I don't believe they were updated.
