On land, dive, digital and even sport watches have attractive designs. Do these designs we see on a regular basis above the waterline, translate into legibility issues below the water line. I tested several dive, digital and one sport watch to see what designs and features maintain legibility under water. This is not an evaluation of the dive features such as water resistance reliability. This evaluation focused on contrast and clarity of: dial, indices, hands, lume, and the bezel. What happened?
