In your glory I boast. You alone Ya Rabb, You alone are worthy of devotion! In your presence I bow. You are Most High, You alone can grant endless bounty to the undeserving. You alone choose who’s left frustrated. Ya Rabb, I seek refuge. In times of plenty and in times of need you’re the subject of my poems, it is you I beg. It’s true, I have plenty of sin, but your mercy— is the definition of plentiful, there is no need for hopelessness. If you’re to turn me away who’s to be my refuge? Who can I turn to for help? Who’s to arbitrate for me? ----- Ya Rabb! You see my state, you know what is missing. You hear my secret desires. Please my God, don’t make me a part of the hopeless, ignore my deficiencies, delay no longer, leave me with hope. Ya Malik, in your presence I bow, I take to my knees, I fall on my face in worship. ----- Ya Allah, as I chose your presence over this world, keep my presence close to the words of Tawheed. Your fire is sweet, your light is sweet. I trust in your mercy. On that day when wealth and sons are useless, I want your forgiveness. Your forgiveness is enough, show me your grace. If you guide, I cannot lose my way. If you don’t guide, I will remain astray. If your forgiveness is reserved only for the good, then who will forgive the bad? You are the God of All. Certainly I’m not the best, nor am I thought as the worst. I’m seduced by your forgiveness. I confess, my sins are great, but your forgiveness is greater. As I remember your grace my heart is relieved. As I remember my faults my tears fall. You’ll do as you will, please forgive me! You’ve created me with logic, I know I have no other to turn to. What I wish, I wish from you. I get anxious to think, what would become of me, if you were to turn me away empty handed? ----- Ya Allah, the heedless are asleep, but I am here pleading with open hands, in the dead of night. Let my prayers reach you, hear my plea Ya Rabb. All await your amazing grace. All await entrance to heaven, yet for me, a glimpse of Your beauty would suffice. ----- O you, who sent prophets to show people the right way, Ya Allah. I turn to you, in honor of our beloved Mustafa, for the love of your sanctified followers, keep us with our faith, Quran, and Islam. Gather us as Muslims on the day of reckoning, I plea for the intercession of the Rasulallah, don’t deprive us. I seek your pardon, Ya Allah don’t turn us away empty handed.
