The Temple of Olympian Zeus also known as the Olympeion or Columns of the Olympian Zeus is a former colossal temple a few minutes walking from the Acropolis Hill. Construction began in the 6th century BC during the rule of the Athenian tyrants, who aimed to create the most magnificent temple in the ancient world. However, it remained unfinished until the 2nd century AD, during the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian, marking 638 years from the project's initiation.
