Cigar Review Dunbarton Tobacco Mi Querida When Smoked: July 2024 Obtained from: 10-pack purchased online Size: “Skinny Toro” (6 inches x 48) Approximate cost: US$11 See ratings below In this video I review the Dunbarton Tobacco Mi Querida. This is the “blue label,” the original blend. I mention the Black and the Red (Triqui Traca) in the video as well. The original Blue label bend is a Pennsylvania Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro, with Nicaraguan filler and wrapper. As I inspect the Mi Querida, it is a beautiful-looking cigar. Toothy with an oily sheen and even medium-dark brown wrapper. In terms of the cigar itself, the vitola I smoked is 6 x 48 gauge. As I’ve said many times, my upper gauge limit for an enjoyable cigar is about 54-gauge tops. This “skinny toro” size is perfect for me. The flavor profile on this smoke is earthy, with a touch of citrus sweetness and some spice which comes and sometimes recedes. When the spice comes it is quite noticeable but not overly strong. I’m a big fan of this cigar’s flavor. Body was a a bit over medium-full. The smoothness makes it seem less bold than it is. If you’re okay with a medium-full body cigar, you won’t find this one too bold. I haven’t mentioned construction too much yet. That’s where this cigar shines as well, it produced copious amounts of smoke with a pleasant draw, and burned straight line with no re-lights needed. I rated this cigar a 9.5/10. It is a small notch below what I’d call a classic cigar but right up there. At the price point, it’s a definite worthy cigar to try.
