The AK-105 has achieved its final form - covered in Zenitco upgrades. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite guns to shoot. In the latest Call of Duty (COD:MW2) Modern Warfare 2 game, this gun appears as the Kastov 545 IRL. The Zenitco upgrades really step this gun up a lot for me. It's extremely comfortable and ergonomic, and just plain fun to run. On display in this video are the Zenitco B-30U and B-31N handguards, B-33 rail, RP-5 charging handle cap, DTK-2 muzzle brake and the PT-1 stock. I want to sincerely thank and apologize to my camera man for having to deal with the brutal concussion of the Zenitco DTK-2 muzzle brake. You can see the blast wave really well in a lot of the slow motion shots, especially when it was raining and displacing water or throwing around debris. That said, it works extremely well and the concussion is not too bad for the shooter. It keeps the rifle right on target under fast strings of fire and makes it incredibly fun to run. The Dead Air Wolverine works really well with this platform and doesn't need an adjustable piston. It is slightly over gassed in this configuration and the action is certainly more aggressive while it's on but it is still easy to keep on target. In some of the slow motion shots you'll be able to see the gas coming out of the action. I'm not sensitive to gas typically, but this one did make my eyes water once or twice in about 120 suppressed rounds. We ended up putting 295 rounds through the heavily upgraded PSA/Palmetto State Armory AK-105 in this session without a single failure. This brings the grand total to 645 rounds fired so far (15 more than stated in the video because we shot a little more after putting the camera gear away) with only 2 failures early on during break-in shown in previous videos. All ammo used has been low powered Wolf 5.45x39, and I'm fairly confident that the 2 failures I did have early on were more than likely ammo related. For a range toy, I'm very pleased with that performance and will continue to monitor it. I hope you enjoy this one, we had a ton of fun making it. There wasn't supposed to be any precipitation according to the weather forecast but we ended up getting rain and even hail during the session, which we powered through and I think it resulted in some cool shots. Of course, as you can see during the outro section, the weather cleared right up as soon as we ran out of ammo!
