A few weeks ago, I was watching one of Lord Draconical's livestreams. During the stream, I picked up a set of really exceptional mod parts for the Adventure Force Nexus Pro. They were printed in Fillamentum Wizard's Voodoo, which is a very nice purple/blue PLA. Not far off from the Vertigo Starlight PLA that I used on 'Cold Chaos' a few months back ( • 'Cold Chaos', a Talon Claw U Bullpup ). When the parts arrived, I showed them to Beth and we both agreed that I needed to create something... Being the first decent weekend of 2021 here in Spokane, I took to the outdoors for some fresh air, Vita D and shell painting. The fur babies enjoyed it too. The shell got a good base layer of gloss black (Krylon Fusion). The main layer was done with Rust-oleum Imagine Color Shift Purple Sunrise. It was a tough choice between the Purple Sunrise and Galaxy Blue, but I think the Purple Sunrise was better fit in the end. I used Molotow LIquid Chrome paint markers to add on some accents and Rust-oleum Universal Clear all-surface topcoat to finish it off. Internally, I beefed up the seal between the breech and barrel and did the usual lock removal. Drac's parts came with a spring spacer, mag release trigger bits and a new machined Etherium trigger. A little white lithium grease and that was good to go. I had originally intended to print up some new side panels, but didn't have the right filament and wasn't really feeling it. So, I coated them with a neutral white UV-reactive paint from Art 'N Glow. I also broke out the Krylon Glow Orange enamel, tape and turpentine to give the muzzle device a little love. The rest of the parts assembled easily from there: a Caduceus foregrip, hex grip, Equinox sights, Worker stock, sling mount and red dot optic. Lastly, I had a pair of side rails from Foamdemic and they put the perfect bow on this build. Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend a Sunday. Enjoy!
