This track continues the artist's signature style, blending hypnotic basslines, progressive beats, and a dark, mysterious atmosphere that perfectly aligns with the title "Doppelgänger" (meaning "double" or "shadow self"). The track is built on pulsating sounds and repetitive, trance-like rhythms that create tension and immerse the listener in the club music experience. "Doppelgänger" debuted on the German Media Control Charts and achieved high rankings in Belgium, where it reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Charts. Niels van Gogh, born as Niels Eiterer, hails from Augsburg, Germany. It all began at Pleasure Dome in Augsburg, where at a young age, he had his first club residency. Even then, he managed to captivate crowds with his DJ sets. The fanbase of NIELS VAN GOGH quickly grew, leading to countless performances in clubs and at festivals such as Tomorrowland, Mayday, Nature One, City Parade (Belgium), Rave on Snow, Energy, Street Parade (Switzerland), and Rave'n Cruise. His major breakthrough came in 1998 with the single "Pulverturm." The track, created in collaboration with Johannes Knechtges, also known as ENIAC (who often worked with DJ TOMCRAFT), was a chart success, reaching 19th place on the Media Control chart. The record became the best-selling vinyl of 1998, with over 20,000 copies sold, earning him the German Dance Award in 2000. Van Gogh also achieved international success, reaching 17th place in the Netherlands, 24th in France, and in England, "Pulverturm" climbed to 5th place on the Dance Charts and entered the Billboard Chart. Eventually, "Pulverturm" achieved "Gold Record" status in Belgium and South Africa. Another track, also produced with ENIAC, "Doppelgänger," also gained high rankings. In Belgium, "Doppelgänger" landed in the top twenty of the Billboard Chart. In the early 2000s, he moved to the Rhineland as a resident DJ at the Poison club in Düsseldorf.
