Today I booked a full-day island tour from Koh Mook and explored some of the most stunning spots in Trang, Thailand. We started from Koh Mook, took a long-tail boat to Koh Kradan, and I did snorkeling for the first time in my life—as a non-swimmer! The water was crystal clear, the reef was beautiful, and the beach had white sand with turquoise water. After exploring the beach, we went for another snorkeling session. Next, as the tides began rising, we headed to the famous Emerald Cave. I even felt a little sea sick 😅 but the experience was worth every second. Inside, the top of the cliffs forms a natural heart shape, making the cave even more magical. Finally, we returned to Koh Mook, enjoyed some snacks, and ended the day chilling by the beach. 📍 Places Covered ✔️ Koh Mook ✔️ Koh Kradan (Snorkeling + Beach Walk) ✔️ Emerald Cave (Morakot Cave) ✔️ Return to Koh Mook 🎒 What I Did – Snorkeling at Koh Kradan – Beach walk at Koh Kradan – Emerald Cave swim – Island hopping – Relaxing & snacks on Koh Mook 🛥️ Tour Type Long-tail boat | Full-day island tour 🏴☠️ The Pirate Legend of Emerald Cave (Short Story) They say that hundreds of years ago, pirates sailing through the Andaman Sea needed a secret place to hide their treasure. So they found a narrow, hidden sea tunnel on the west side of Koh Mook. At high tide, it looked like nothing—just a dark cave swallowed by the ocean. But inside, beyond the darkness, there was a secret lagoon. A place only pirates could reach. They would swim through the pitch-black tunnel, carrying chests of gold on their backs, and hide everything inside the lagoon—where no one could find it. Today, travelers call it Emerald Cave because sunlight hits the water and turns it a glowing green… But the locals still whisper: “This is where the pirates hid their treasure.” And every time you swim through that dark tunnel, you feel a little of that old mystery— as if the walls still remember the secrets they once guarded.
