King of The Suburbs, Nerd Rap by Mel C. Thompson

This is one of only three Officer Mushroom songs that had musicians or technicians other than myself appearing on them. And it's only one of two that was done in a professional recording studio with a studio musician and co-writer. (The recording engineer and studio musician, I believe, would have been Mark Love, who, at that time, was only charging something like $50 an hour for both the recording, writing and musical accompaniment. The late 90s were awesome that way.) The song itself has not aged well and much of the lingo involved in the lyrics is outdated. The chorus of the song, which can be irritating in its own way, is repeated a bit too often; but it was so rare for the Officer Mushroom project to get any studio time and any outside help, that I felt this piece should be a part of the Mel C.
