The Outdoors Group...The Story So Far

As part of our ten year celebrations, we commissioned an incredible Bristol based animator (Animated Magic) to create this short to commemorate the history of The Outdoors Group. Over the last decade, we have grown from just 3 founders to well over 100 members of staff and freelancers and each and every one of those colleagues are just as committed to our mission. From one small piece of woodland in Exeter to 10 sites located across Devon, our dedication to inclusive and accessible outdoor education drives everything we do. The company started ten years ago with Forest School sessions for toddlers and children in Exeter and hasn’t stopped since. 2020 will be a year that goes down in history but here at The Outdoors Group, we saw extraordinary growth and resilience as we continued to provide essential provision to some of the most vulnerable young people in Devon. At the beginning of 2020 we had 28 employees and as of November 2021, we are at over 120 employees. We’re proud of where we’ve come from, where we’ve been and where we’re heading and we wanted to share this with you!
