Today, we're going to review part number 118585. This is the Tow Ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with the 4-way flat trailer connector. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2010 to 2013 Ford Transit Connect. Now on a custom fit part, I always recommend to use our website. Go to the fit guide. Put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now, this wiring harness will provide a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. Does connect very quickly and easily. Basically, your connection points are behind the tail lights. You plug in these T-connectors behind both sides of the tail lights. Ground your wire. Run your hot lead to your vehicle's battery. Now in a minute here, I'm going to show you how all these parts will connect here. Now, this part does include this ModuLite here, which is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. It is a power module converter which will connect directly to the battery using this black power wire and when you do that, it'll avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. The wire that runs out the back that connects to the trailer is a 16-gauge bonded wire. If you notice on the 4-way itself, it has this integrated dust cap for it, so basically when you're not plugged into your trailer, you can just put your dust cap over your terminals. That'll protect them from any damage or from the elements. Few specs on this harness. The maximum amperage for the stop and turn light is 4.2 amps per side and on the tail light, circuit is 7.5 amps total. Now, this does come with a nice set of detailed instructions that describe how to connect your connections and also some nice pictures to show you where they make your connections also. Basically, briefly to show you how this installs, what you'll do is go to the back of your vehicle and gain access to behind the tail lights and then what you want to do is start on the driver side, and this T-connector right here that has the yellow wire in it, that's for your driver side. What you'll do is, go behind the tail lights, disconnect the harness from the tail lights, and just plug this T-connector in line with that. Then what you'll do is you'll see this other length of wire with the green in it. That's for the passenger side. You run this over to the passenger side and do the same thing. T this in behind the tail light and then you'll have your length of wire that you'll run out the back to hook to the trailer, and remaining is these 2 wires here. One is a white wire that has an eyelet on it. What you want to do there is that's pretty important because this needs to be connected to a good, clean ground. If there's one nearby, you can go ahead and connect it. If you need to make your own, they include this grounding screw that you can drill a hole and make your own ground. Then the last thing what you want to do is this power wire needs to run to the front of your battery. One thing you might want to do before that, those they include this. Your converter needs to be attached to a nice, flat surface so it doesn't bounce around. They'll give you piece of double stick tape, double-faced tape that you can apply this to, or if you even want for even better security, you can use these cable ties. They include it. Use a couple of those to secure the converter down so it doesn't bounce around. Then getting back to your power wire, this runs to the vehicle's battery in the front of the vehicle, so they include this length of wire. What you'll do is, take one of these included butt connectors. Put it onto the power wire. Connect it onto one end of this wire, and this wire will run all the way to the front of the battery. What you want to do is, you don't want to connect this wire right to the battery directly. You want to run it through this in-line fuse holder, so you'll take your other butt connector. Put it on the end of this wire and connect it to one end of the in-line fuse holder. Then with that connected, on the other end of the fuse holder, you'll take this included eyelet connector and connect it and then that's what will attach to the positive post of your battery. Then the last thing you'll need to do is open that up. Take your included 15 amp fuse. Stick it into the fuse holder and just go ahead and put the cap back on. Now, your harness will be all ready to go. You can plug this into your trailer and it'll supply the lighting to the trailer. Tha
