Abstract Routing loops, blackholing, and persistent reachability issues continue to plague networks worldwide. Our previous research identified BGP Stuck Routes, also known as BGP Zombies, as a significant contributing factor. These are routes that unexpectedly persist in the global routing table long after they should have been withdrawn, creating cascading operational problems. Building on our earlier work, we are introducing an enhanced detection method, BGP Clock, and Stuck Route Observatory, the automated tool, providing operators the ability to check within seconds if Autonomous Systems are affected by, or worse, causing the problem.
