Cinematic video for Own Nothing, one of the key tracks on the Build Back Bangers EP by Fatima Yamaha... The inspiration for the video came from the distopian over-commodification of almost everything in our lives and how we are made to feel that its a good thing to ‘own nothing’ and that this will make us happy. Hence the startup dealing in ‘Nature Sharing’. We combined this concept with the idolization of billionaire tech entrepreneurs who have lost touch with ordinary people and are surrounded by enablers. We wanted to paint a picture of a scary, polished, hipster world were everyone seems happy, but really on the inside they are crying. Enslaved by their high salaries and the mission of the crazy tech entrepreneur (played awesomely by Phi Nguyen). The music video was helmed by critically acclaimed director Teddy Cherim.
