The video deals with the unique properties of a very curiously shaped nib called a fude. The pens in this video are as follows: 1. Jinhao X450 (correction, this is an X750) with a #6 Fude nib. Both the pen and the nibs can be ordered on Amazon. These are very inexpensive, sturdy pens whose nibs can easily be switched out with a huge variety of nibs. I've used the wonderful flex nibs from Fountain Pen Revolution in these, as well as the Zebra G dip nib, which surprising fits without any adjustment. 2. Duke 209. A reliable Chinese pen that runs about 13 dollars. I would recommend this for the first time user. The only complaint is that the section is a touch slick, but you can use a bit of sandpaper to roughen it.. 3. Sailor Fude de Mannen . An inexpensive option (again running about 15 bucks). Not recommended however because the build quality is rather cheap, and the bend in the nib is too sharp, so that the feed sometimes comes into contact with the paper. 4. Duke 551. A huge, heavy lumbering pen with a incredibly unique three-tines fude nb with an over feed. It works great, and has tremendous line variation, but ultimately is too heavy to use on a regular basis. I have heard that people have successfully swapped out the body of the pen for something lighter, but have no further info. 5. The next pens, the TWSBI Eco, the TWSBI 580, and the PenBBS 355 are fitted with steel Jowo nibs that have been turned into absolutely excellent fudes by FPnibs. This Spanish company offers a huge number of nib customizations, and are highly recommended. The #4, #5, and #6 size nibs are hands down the smoothest and best fude nibs I have ever used.
