Carton Drop Test ISTA Standards and Third Party Quality Inspection
The carton drop test is an essential on-site testing item in the final random inspection (FRI). It simulates the possible impacts cartons may experience during handling, loading, and transportation. It is usually conducted with a reference to international standard for safe transport ISTA 1 A Packaged-Products 150 lb (68 kg) or Less. The dropping height is determined in accordance to the table. The box will be dropped 10 times, by one corner, three edges and six sides. After drop test, inspector shall open the carton and check whether packaging is damaged, inspect the products again to check any defectives including appearance and functions.
