π The "Deconstructing Scarcity" project is a collaboration between Εcumene Spaces For Dignity ("Tamkeen for Development" in Tunisia) and the Leeds Architecture and Urbanism Research Group at the University of Leeds, in partnership with local stakeholders. It examines the relationship between vernacular and formal urban systems to assess their impact on urban and regional resilience. This workshop was more than just an eventβit was a platform for knowledge co-creation and a laboratory for speculative thinking and creative experimentation. By challenging conventional planning approaches, it opened new pathways for collaborative urban and ecological transformation. πΏ A huge thank you to our partners: π Nouvelle Generation Organisation π ComitΓ© RΓ©gional de DΓ©veloppement Agricole de Tataouine (CRDA) π Institut des RΓ©gions Arides Tataouine (IRA) π Commune De Tataouine π SociΓ©tΓ© de l'Environnement de Plantation et de Jardinage de Tataouine (SEPJT) π Γcole SupΓ©rieure d'Architecture et de Design (ESAD) π Association du DΓ©veloppement et des Γtudes StratΓ©giques Mednine (ADES) π Green Compass Looking ahead, the insights and collaborations built through this project will continue to shape our approach to tackling scarcity and enhancing resilience. π₯ Watch, share, and join us on this journey! #DeconstructingScarcity #Tataouine #CoProduction #UrbanResilience #VernacularUrbanism #CreativeCollaboration #ParticipatoryPlanning #LeedsArchitecture #WaterSystems #FutureLiteracy #SustainableUrbanism #CommunityEngagement #SpeculativeThinking
