This is the northern Donegal section of the Wild Atlantic Way on my Donegal to Almeria trip. However instead of blindly sticking to the set tourist coastal route I chose to head inland to explore the more remote and traffic free mountain roads. This video really can't do this route the justice it deserves. While much of the roads were admittedly as rough as it gets and an Adv type bike makes most sense, many were as smooth as glass proving that the EU road development fund is good for something. The real prize of this route is the scenery and feeling of truly being in the middle of nowhere which weirdly feels as much like Iceland as it does Ireland.
