Man, it's really crazy to think about How I finally beat a Horrific. This experience had so many ups and downs, and it feels amazing for it to be finally over. I'm most likely doing easier towers before my next horri. I've been playing ToCP, and ToSE recently and the ToWM skill boost has been making them feel much much easier. ToSE is especially such a good tower, and I regret not doing it after ToCR I highly recommend it. Now let's get into how my grind started. The first time I had ever heard of ToWM was when BayBdawg beat it, and ToWM had always seemed like a very cool tower but very out of reach at the same time. If you told me even when I was terri skill that I would be a horrific player one day I would be flabbergasted. ToWM has always been one of my favorite horris. At one point I even considered jumping to ToWM from ToDIE, which looking back I am VERY glad I did not do LOL. I first considered that I may one day beat a horrific in Mid-July. I first knew I would grind ToWM for sure on 9/11/25. However, I thought I was going to beat ToCP first. As it turns out I still had a hatred for ToCP from earlier in the year. I've always hated ToCP as its insanely boring and inconsistent IMO. I decided to drop ToCP on September 13th, and that was the start of it all. I started ToWM on the 14th, and I spent most of the day practicing 1-3 and a little of 4. F1 was absurdly hard for me for the first bit of my grind, and it took me almost the full day to pass it. I ended up getting to 3 mid. Not much happened for the rest of the day. The next day I got to 3 last jumps. Then the next day I got to 4 and failed the wedges at the start. I was really bad at those but then I got a really good strat later in the grind. Then on the 17th I got to 5 net then died LMAOOOO. On 9/18 I got to the spinners and failed the jump to the 2nd spinner. 3 last and 4 kept being a major issue for me for most of my grind. Then it took me all the way till October 6th to get to 6. Then I got to 7 the next day which was really fun. Then it took 9 far messages for me to finally get to 8 and then THANK GOD I FLUKED IT. 7 ended up being my pb from October 7th to November 15th. With me consistently grinding the tower for most of that time. Most of that time was spent with random inconsistency on random floors swapping every day. I also had some insanely bs fails. I almost dropped ToWM for both SoCB, and ToTH. But those only lasted like 2 days. My friend ghoned beating SoCB def gave me lots of motivation for being my first horrific. On November 15th I had an insanely stupid fail on the first of 9. Then my consistency was only up from there. On November 21st I had a really stupid fail. Then I got to 7 basically every day from there. Then on November 26th I got two 9 runs both of which were new pbs. Motivating me a lot and gave me the motivation to think I could actually beat a Horrific. (Running out of word count so this section will be pretty short). Then on November 29th I failed the very last jump of 9 before F10. This sent me right into an instakill and was fairly demotivating because getting to 10 would've been really nice. I had pretty mediocre progress until December 13th where I failed the very end of 2nd pillar (there's 4 pillars on 10) on f10 on my first 10 run. This was a huge shock as I find F10 to be 1st and 2nd pillar carried. I then got back to 10 on the very same run (failing 10 sends u to 6 start). I had always known this would happen eventually, but I didn't think on the first 10 run. Then I failed the last instakill on December 19th. This is quite literally the worst possible fail on the tower, and I am the only person to ever fail this, and so I will forever have the worst fail on this tower. On Jan 1st, 2026, I failed 3rd last on 4th pillar but that was fine. Then on Jan 4th, I beat it on my 9th 10 run of the day. Fails 10x21 9x40? 8x10? 7x50+?
