Corn has played a vital role in human survival in this region for thousands of years. Lenape people cultivated and thrived on this crop, and passed down its cultural significance to new generations through oral histories. Upon European contact, Indigenous communities taught the colonists how to grow corn, which helped the settlers survive their first winter. This corn craft is simple, fun for the whole family, and a beautiful addition to the centerpiece at your table!
