Quick review of these MTO Sagara Boondockers. Lead time was roughly 4.5 months, shipped via DHL when completed and arrived in a week. Indonesian brand, fantastic quality- handwelted and hand bottomed. $300 shipped, these punch above their weight class and edge out similarly priced options like Red Wing. Available in domestic Indonesian leathers (which honestly aren't too shabby), or higher end hides from American/European tanneries for a bit extra. Comfy out of the box due to some poron on the insole, leather insole/midsole will ensure a thorough break-in over time. Outsoles are a bit thick but not egregious, part of it is that the outsole unit was already thick starting out so the addition of a midsole made them even thicker.
