The 1994 season was one of the last full years of weekly racing at Saugus before the track closed in 1995. While complete week-by-week results were rarely preserved online, archived race reports and program summaries identify many of the drivers who won main events during that season. Below are the known or frequently documented main-event winners by division. Grand American Modified Winners (1994 season) Drivers who won Modified feature races that year included: Dave Phipps – multiple wins and 1994 track champion Dan Press – several victories Dave Blankenship – feature winner Rick Crow – feature winner (July 30, 1994) Ray Hooper Jr. – occasional feature contender Phipps and Press were typically the dominant Modified drivers during the early-1990s Saugus seasons. Sportsman Division Winners Common feature winners in 1994 included: Sean Woodside Pat Mintey Jr. Joe Heath Tim Huddleston The Sportsman class usually had the largest fields and most competitive racing. Street Stock / Pro Stock Winners Drivers recorded winning Street Stock or Pro Stock features in that era included: Rick Crow Gerrit Cromsigt Gary Ibsen Ron Peterson These races were typically 25-lap features run before the Modified main event.
