Welcome to my longplay of the unlockable Bonus Mode in Vampire Rain: Altered Species! Be sure to check the full description for anything related to the video that you might want to know. "What differentiates Altered Species from the original Xbox 360 version?" Major changes include the addition of a gallery that provides extra backstory, a cutscene viewer and additional images not seen before as well as a Bonus Mode which I show the majority of in this video. Minor changes include a much faster animation for some in-game actions such as shimmying along ledges, an increased rate of fire for the pistol, assault rifle and submachine gun, a line indicating if a marked Nightwalker is linked to a Parent Walker and the removal of the item pickup requirement for higher ranking in each mission. "What is Bonus Mode?" Bonus mode is unlocked by simply completing the game and acts as a modified version of the main storyline. The list of 24 missions - not including the tutorials and trials - looks innocent enough at first but you will be taking entirely different routes and approaches through most of the game, facing scenarios entirely unique to this mode including an extra boss and there's even a new weapon. There are also no collectable medals in each mission. It's essentially a remix of the base game with a more extreme focus on either combat or stealth whenever each comes up.
