Immediate /Delayed implantation By Dr.Anwar Al-Abdullah

Case #50 CASE REPORT: A 40 years old female come presented to the Department of Maxillofacial surgery , with a chief complaint of inability to eat well .Clinical and radiographic examination revealed remaining roots and poor RCT related to tooth #34 and #35 with unfavourable prognosis. The patient was given a detailed explanation concerning the present state, alternative treatment plans and the proposed procedure which included immediate implant placement and early loading along with delayed implant loading related to tooth #36. The patient was opted for proposed procedure. Pre-surgical radiographic evaluation was carried out with OPG and CT for appropriate treatment planning. In CT diameter of the socket apical to crestal bone and length of the socket were detected. TREATMENT DONE: After anesthesia was injected the remaining teeth were atraumatically removed.After cleaning the sockets from tissue debrises ,drilling and implant loading bone decortication was done and bone grafting along with collagen membrane were added . Post-operative suturing and old bridge was replaced again temporary . Post-operative periapical radiograph was taken ,medications were prescribed and post operative instructions were given.
