Unleash the full potential of the Boss DD-8 Digital Delay with the Boss FS-7 Dual Footswitch. My video on using an expression pedal with the Boss DD-8: • Why You Should Use an Expression Pedal Wit... Tap Tempo: Having a dedicated tap tempo switch for the Boss DD-8 makes it so much more convenient. Now when you’re playing in a live band and the tempo drifts a little, you can just tap the tempo in again to keep that delay tight and in time with the rest of the band. It also lets you tap out different rhythms mid song to change rhythmic texture of the delay as well. You can easily switch from a 1/4 note delay to a 1/8 or 1/2 note delay etc... How To Preset Rhythmic Divisions on DD-8: Plug a jack into input B while nothing is plugged into input A. Hold down the switch on the DD-8 and plug into input A and then you can select the rhythmic division that you want. Press the switch on the DD-8 again to store the setting. Then all you’ll have to do is tap on the main pulse, the 1/4 note to get that division. Self Oscillation: The other switch, switch A on the FS-7 get’s you those crazy self oscillation sounds. Boss calls it the twist function. You can just hold the switch to make it self oscillate and then let go of the switch to make it stop. But if you want to fine tune the amount of self oscillation, it’s better to tap the switch at different speeds. Glitch Mode: Remember anything you tap into the tap tempo switch in glitch mode will be 4 times as fast in glitch mode. You can get some great angular rhythms and CD skipping effects using this mode. Looper: There’s no need to double tap or hold the built in pedal anymore. Switch A erases the loop and switch B stops the loop. #BossDD8 #footswitch
