The first game in the series marked a pivotal moment for Naughty Dog. Not only was it their first attempt at tackling a whole new genre, creating a linear action adventure hollywood blockbuster, it was also the success PlayStation desperately depended on after the bad launch phase of the PS3. In this video, I look back and provide a retrospect of the first Uncharted game. I reminisce about my favorite memories, dive deep into story, characters, gameplay and I review and discuss the game from beginning to end. Many more successes would follow, from Uncharted 2, 3 and 4 to The Last of Us, but none of them would have existed if it wasn't for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Fortunately, it lives on in The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4. I hope you'll enjoy my retrospective and analysis!
