On my latest map, a clockwise trip around the 'Rochdale Loop' from the terminus at Lutterworth, following an orange 3-car Lastochka on Line 7. The complementary counterclockwise service is provided by Line 6, whose trains are a fetching shade of purple, and travel on through Lutterworth to serve a further two towns in the hills on the Lutterworth side of the river. Lutterworth provides a connection with Line 1, which is the long-distance high-speed spine route following the river valley to the other end of the map calling at 8 further towns, the largest of which is also a major interchange hub. All towns, bar one, are thus connected to the rail system. The exception was close to, but high above the valley, and impractical to connect directly with rail without a long, slow, winding route, so a steep road with a frequent electric bus connection was built instead. I'm Using a 4x capacity mod that avoids silly service frequencies. Note everything is very profitable, apart from a few loss-making (electric) local bus routes in the biggest towns, which is worth the money because they help to reduce congestion. With Jazz from a mod that adds the campaign music to the playlist in free games...nice!
