This video was made to show the impact of excessive muzzle flip specifically, on P/CW380’s and PM/CM40’s and .45’s. If you have a loose grip, or do not hold the muzzle down when shooting, you may encounter feeding issues. Problem is, when the muzzle flips up, you are absorbing recoil which takes away energy from the cycling action of the pistol. The gun may either misfeed or not lock back on the last shot. What wasn’t mentioned in the video, is that some customers install a “Hogue Handall Jr. Grip Sleeve” on their gun to prevent this problem. The added finger groove provided by the grip sleeve gives a bit more leverage making it easier to hold the muzzle down.
